Work Experience Yuliya acted as Kazakhstan counsel in 12 litigations in Kazakhstan courts during 2005-2006 in addition to recent arbitrations experience in the following ongoing cases: Kazakhstan counsel to an oil and gas company in its arbitration against other oil and gas company for damages under the Rules of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Claimant seeks declaratory relief and compensation of damages for failure to honour obligations in the amount of approximately $244 million. Respondent seeks damages in an amount of approximately $ 3 56 million and Euro 101 thousand plus fulfilment of an obligation in kind the amount of which is approximately $ 700 million. Kazakhstan counsel to an oil and gas company in an arbitration initiated by another oil and gas company for damages in the amount of approximately $93 million under the Rules of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.Kazakhstan counsel to international oil and gas company in its arbitration against two oil and gas companies for declaratory relief and damages under the Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce. Claimants seek declaratory relief interpreting the contractual rights, duties and obligations under concluded agreement and damages in the amount of $6 million. Respondents seek compensation of the damages in the amount of $180 million. Kazakhstan counsel to a telecommunications company against the Republic of Kazakhstan under the Rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, with damages approximately $300 million.Kazakhstan counsel to real estate holding company in the arbitration initiated by a BVI company under the ICC Rules. Claimant seeks declaratory relief as well as compensation for the disruptions, delays and lost profits, consequential and punitive damages plus interest at the commercial rate. Claimant preliminarily calculated its losses in an amount of approximately $300M; Respondent’s losses may vary up to $600M. Acting as Kazakhstan counsel in Dutch litigation with damages amounting to $65 million.
