Work Experience Experienced as Chair, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and independent expert in several institutional or ad hoc arbitrations including domestic and international arbitration proceedings. She also has acted as counsel in many amicable settlement and arbitration proceedings related to oil, gas, petrochemical, power plants and other industrial or construction projects disputes.
Present Position Founder and manager of JONEYDI & ASSOCIATES LAW OFFICE from 1999. She advises multinational corporations and banks on a variety of international trade law issues and finance and banking matters. She also holds position of associate professor at Law School of University of Tehran and teaches courses on settlement of international commercial disputes, international commercial arbitration, international trade law, corporate law and commercial instruments. She is a member of International Affairs Commission of Iranian Central Bar Association and Private Law Association.
Past positions Joneydi has served as Director of Laws & Regulations Department of Sciences & Technology Ministry of Iran (2013-2016), the Chief Legal Counsel for the University of Tehran (2004-2007), researcher at Comparative Law Institute of University of Tehran (1995-2005), Visiting scholar at Finance Program of Harvard Law School for Research on Buy-Back as a Finance Mechanism in Oil and Gas Projects (2007), Visiting scholar at Oberlin College for Comparative Study of ADR & Amicable Settlement of Disputes (2007-8), Researcher at UNITAR Program (2002) .
Publications Joneydi has published several books (e.g.: Applicable Law in International Commercial Arbitration (1997), A Critical and Comparative Study of International Commercial Arbitration Act of Iran (1999), Enforcement of Foreign Commercial Arbitral Awards (2002- revised and reprinted in 2008 & 2014)), has written dozens of articles (e.g.: “Competent Court for Annulment of Arbitral Awards in International Arbitration” (JFLPS, 2008), “ Enforcement of Nullified Arbitral Awards” (JFLPS, 2008), “Theory of Lex Mercatoria” (JFLPS, 2011), “National Regime for Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards” (Journal of Comparative Law Institute, 2010) and “Enforcement Regime of New York Convention” (Journal of Comparative Law Institute, 2011)); “Principle of Separation in Commercial Instruments”, (JFLPS, 2013); Comparative Study on Letter of Credit and Bill of Exchange”, (Banking Law Journal, 2015)
