On 7 June 2017, the Republic of Fiji deposited the instrument of ratification with the Secretary-General of the United Nations to accede to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sales of Goods adopted in 1980 (“CISG”).
The CISG will enter into force in Fiji on 1 July 2018. Fiji becomes the 86th State worldwide and the 15th out of 56 States in the Asia-Pacific region to adopt the CISG.
