Morteza Shahbazinia (President) Dr. Morteza Shahbazinia is professor and dean of law faculty of Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran. He is specialized in domestic and international arbitration law and foreign investment dispute resolutions.
Dr. Shahbazinia is the member of the Court of Arbitration at the Arbitration Center of Iran Chamber of Commerce (ACIC), ex-member of Board of Directors of Iranian Central Bar Association, member of Board of Trustees of ICBAR Arbitration Center, member of list of arbitrators in Intergovernmental Organization for International carriage by Rail (OTIF) and member of list of arbitrators in SHIAC. He is currently the president of the National union Iranian Bar Associations (SCODA).
Adineh Abghari Adineh Abghari is a member of the Iranian Central Bar Associations since 2001 and specialized in international arbitration and commercial law. She has acted as counsel, expert and senior researcher at domestic and international levels. Currently, she is Legal Senior Manager at Samsung and a member of the Arbitration Center of Iran Chamber of Commerce.
Earlier in her career, she worked for the International Criminal Court and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner of Human Rights. She also held academic positions with the Canada Research Chair and the British Institute of International and Comparative Law.
Her native language is Farsi and she is fluent in English and French.
Ali Abrishami Dr. Ali Moghaddam Abrishami is currently an Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Law at Allameh Tabataba’i University. He holds a Master’s degree in International Trade Law from Essex University and a PhD from Queen Mary, University of London. He was formerly a Post-doctoral Fellow at Columbia University in New York and Cambridge University. Dr Abrishami taught LLM in International Trade Law at SOAS, University of London and King’s College London from 2011 until 2014. His teaching and research cover international arbitration, international investment law, multinational corporations and international sales law. In terms of work experience, he has been involved in numerous international arbitrations as counsel as well as arbitrator. In addition, he has acted as mediator in a number of foreign investment disputes. He also advises multinational corporations in the field of international trade finance, foreign investment and international sales.
Majid Ghamami Dr Majid Ghamami received his LLB in 1991 and LLM in 1993 and PhD in 2001, in Private Law from Tehran University Faculty of Law. He joined Tehran University in 2002 as assistant professor and since then he has been teaching civil law, civil procedure, evidence law of Iran and Iranian foreign investment law. His main fields of interests and practice are: contract law, tort law, foreign investment laws, civil procedure law, negotiating international commercial contracts, international trade and business law, analytical legal research regarding unique legal challenges, multi-party complex contract negotiation, joint ventures, BOTs and project finance in power and energy sectors, buy-back contracts in oil and gas fields, sovereign guarantees and international commercial litigation and arbitration. He is currently associate professor of private law at Faculty of Law and Political Science of University of Tehran. Dr. Ghamami is an attorney-at-law and a member of Iranian Central Bar Association. He is listed as arbitrator in ACIC and conducted a number of arbitration cases in that arbitration center. He is the member of the Court of Arbitration Center of Iran Chamber of Commerce (ACIC) as well.
Seyyed Mofid Kalantarian Dr. Seyyed Mofid Kalantarian is an attorney at law and an independent arbitrator. He formerly acted as investigating judge, alternative judge, chief judge of court of first instance and counselor of courts of appeal of Tehran province in Iran Judicial system. He is specialized in arbitration law, civil procedure. He has acted as counsel or arbitrator in several domestic and international arbitration cases.
He is the member of the Court of Arbitration at the Arbitration Center of Iran Chamber of Commerce (ACIC).
Dr. Kalantarian is teaching arbitration law and civil procedure from 2002 and currently, he is teaching civil procedure at the faculty of law of Allameh Tabatabayi and Azad University.
Abdollah Khodabakhshi Dr. Abdollah Khodabakhshi is former judge in Tehran and Mashhad Courts for 12 years from 2000 to 2012. He is now an attorney at law at the Khorasan bar association and is working as an arbitrator at the Arbitration Center of Iran Chamber (ACIC). Dr. Khodabakhshi is an assistant professor at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and is teaching domestic and international arbitration. Moreover, he has been as a member of the legal and arbitral Iranian Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) since 2016.
Dr. Khodabakhshi was involved in several local arbitration cases as an arbitrator or as a member of arbitration board. He published 15 books on legal matters such as arbitration, banking, insurance, civil liability, contract and civil procedure with emphasis on precedent of Iranian courts.
Soheil Mehramiz Dr. Soheil Mehramiz is member of the Iranian Central Bar Associations since 2005 and specialized in commercial law. He has acted a legal advisor in several commercial companies active in the field of oil and gas, construction, finance and capital since 2005 until now. Dr. Mehramiz is the legal advisor of the “department of international transportation” of Iran chamber of commerce. He has acted as counsel or arbitrator in several domestic and international arbitration cases.
He is the member of the Court of Arbitration at the Arbitration Center of Iran Chamber of Commerce (ACIC). Dr. Mehramiz is teaching international commercial contracts, arbitration law, international payments etc.
Akbar Mirzanezhad Dr. Akbar Mirzanezhad is a member of Iran central bar since 1999. He is professor of private law at the Institute for Management and Planning Studies.
He is the author or co-author of many articles in the field of arbitration and private law, and has been regularly involved in giving legal advices to the Iranian and foreign companies. Dr. Mirzanezhad has also being involved in number of domestic arbitration cases either as council or arbitrator.
Mohsen Mohebi Dr. Mohsen Mohebi is the founder and partner of the Dr. Mohebi & Associates Law Offices established in 2003 in Tehran.
As a professor of international law and arbitration, he is the author of many books and publications (mostly in Persian) in international law, commercial arbitration and investment. He has been the first editor-in-chief of the first Iranian Law Review in the field of international law Iran, published since 1984 and volume 56 of which was recently published.
He has been member of ICC International Court of Arbitration since 2000. In 2005 he was appointed as secretary general of arbitration center of Iran Chamber of Commerce (ACIC). He is currently a member of PCA and a board member of Tehran Regional Arbitration Center.
Dr. Mohebi obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Tehran (1969) and his Masters in Private Laws (LLM) from the Shahid Beheshti (ex-National) University of Iran (1983). He obtained Ph.D. in international law from Louvain-la-Neuve University in Belgium in 1995.
He is first grade attorney-at-law admitted as of 1980 as member of Central Bar Association.
He is fluent in Farsi and English. He understands Arabic and French.
Babak Sheed Dr. Babak Sheed is professor at Azad University and is a member of the Iranian Central Bar Associations. He is specialized in international arbitration and commercial law.
He has been involved in several arbitrations (whether institutional or ad hoc) as counsel and arbitrator.
Dr. Sheed is the member of the Court of Arbitration at the Arbitration Center of Iran Chamber of Commerce (ACIC) and the member of legal and arbitration commission Iranian Committee of ICC.
