The Fifty Fourth Annual Session of the Asian African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) was held in Beijing from 13th to 17th April 2015. The agenda of this session included some of the important substantive items as: law of the sea; deportation of Palestinians and other Israeli Practice among them the massive immigration and settlement of Jews in all occupied territories in violation of international law particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949; environment and sustainable development; work of the UNCITRAL and other international organizations in the field of international trade law; and violent extremism and terrorism. Besides this, special meeting were held namely: selected items on the agenda of the International Law Commission; and international law in cyberspace.

In addition, during this session, the AALCO’s Regional Arbitration Centres delivered their annual reports. On behalf of TRAC, Dr. Oveis Rezvanian (Director of TRAC) submitted the TRAC’s 2014 activities and 2015 prospective to the 54th annual session of the AALCO. He pointed out that TRAC aims to continue offering high services and facilities for administration of arbitration cases in the Region and it intends to collaborate closely with other arbitration centers in the region as well as other AALCO’s arbitration centers.
